Summer Preached Retreat
Date: Sunday, June 23rd to Saturday, June 29th, 2013.  “Jesus Arrives at Gate ? at ? AM/PM”
Advent is more than a Liturgical Season. Preparation is always key to any arrival. This retreat will aid in sharpening our discerning skills. We cry “Maranatha, Lord Jesus” and then we forget to pick Jesus up when he arrives. The days of retreat will focus on how to be sensitized to the many “arrivals” of Jesus in our Worship, Work, Word and Wonder. Advent is forever when we truly expect the Savior to land in our lives.

Quiet retreats are conducted in an atmosphere of quiet conducive to prayer for oneself and others. Quiet is maintained especially in the common areas and bedroom floors of the houses. There will be conversation at meals

Presenter: Father Paul Schetelick is currently the pastor of Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish in Bayonne, NJ. Ordained for the Archdiocese of Newark in 1976, he has served most of his ministry in the inner city of Newark. Much of his priesthood has been given over to being a Spiritual Director for Cursillo, preaching Parish Missions and directing Life in the Spirit Seminars around the country. His studies include Ignatian Spirituality at Creighton University and Mercy Center in Colorado.

Silent Summer Preached Retreat
Date: Sunday, June 30th, to Saturday, July 6th, 2013.  “On Earth as it is in Heaven”
We dwell within the heart of the Divine. It is there that we meet our God, one another, our deepest selves and all creation. It is through the dynamics of these encounters that we recognize that ecological spirituality is essential to Christian discipleship. This retreat will provide opportunity for contemplation and insight of the Divine Love which calls all creation into being and calls us to a kinship and ethical responsibility as icons of God’s image in our world. This retreat will be conducted in silence with an opportunity for sharing offered at evening prayer.

Presenter: Sister Diane Collesano, SC
has been a Sister of Charity for 35 years and served as high school teacher and principal for much of that time. With a profound interest in ecological theology, she pursued graduate studies in systematic theology. She currently teaches in the theology Department of the College of Saint Elizabeth offering courses, among others, in Christian Ethics and Ecology and Faith.

Silent retreats are conducted in an atmosphere of silence to foster one's own prayer and out of reverence for one another. In keeping with this atmosphere, all meals are taken in silence. Soft instrumental music is played with lunch and dinner.
