Dear Friends,
As you read this letter, I hope you are enjoying the warmer spring days as much as I am. The trees and lawns are green again and multicolored flowers are bursting all over! The sunlight filled days of summer will not be far behind!
The three weeklong retreats in June 2026 are filling up. If you haven’t heard the news, the retreats will be accommodated in the oceanside buildings as well as the bayside! This enables us to welcome many more of you! I truly believe that whoever is at Maris Stella for retreat, it is God who has called you here! Click on PROGRAMS at the top of the website and click on the 2026 SUMMER RETREATS descriptions and see if the Spirit is calling! The Feast of Pentecost is just a couple of weeks away! Perhaps the Spirit is nudging you to do “something” and you’re not sure what it might be? A weeklong retreat at Maris Stella on the Atlantic Ocean and Barnegat Bay may be the exciting, challenging and growth-filled experience the Spirit is inviting you to do!
Recently a man, while delivering furniture to Maris Stella said to me, “If I lived here, I’d never leave!”
As I pondered what he said, I thought of all of you who have come to Maris Stella for so many years. I feel a part of you remains here after you leave, and a part of Maris Stella stays with you wherever you go. Experiencing God’s grace on retreat, the peace and beauty of God’s creation here, the celebration of Mass in the Chapel, the laughter and fun of family and friends, creates a bond of love that only deepens from summer to summer. Many of you are now Maris Stella Facebook followers receiving videos, photos and music, as if the ocean and bay are flowing right to you!
We are so grateful for your faithfulness to Maris Stella! Your support enables Maris Stella to continue our mission of hospitality year after year. Our Labor Day 50/50 Raffle is one of the biggest ways so many of you support us.
